Today, JP Morgan will have its first ever board meeting in DC and Rahm Emmanuel, Obama’s Chief of Staff, will be in attendance.
Clusterstock says this sounds like the final chapter to Orwell’s Animal Farm.
Update. Emmanuel is now saying he won’t attend because, y’know, it might give the appearance of a too cozy relationship. That he accepted the invitation and only backed out after an adverse public reaction shows what an empty gesture this is. He should never have accepted in the first place.
The separation between big banks and federal government now appears to be non-existent.
