A big one this time, and the FDIC couldn’t wait until Friday, the normal day for bank seizures. Hmmm.

    Wonder how many will get “eated” today?

    I’m still getting my calendar straight after the excitement of last weekend, but by my total this week two countries, Japan and (?)Germany reported production slides of ~15% and a third, Mexico, reported 20%, Florida’s second largest bank tanked… and it’s only Friday morning. It is Friday morning? Friday being the day the FDIC traditionally eats tanked banks.

    And finally – why can’t I type that word without hearing Grace Slick (Jefferson Airplane) in the back of my mind? – finally: I hacen’t even had the opportunity to look in on the markets this week. Should I? Or would I be better served to setup early for the bluegrass gig this afternoon?
