Here’s another camera angle on the assault by a Policeman on Ian Tomlinson. [the video is above] Although the footage is from distance, and partially obscured, I think this makes the attack on Ian Tomlinson look even more appalling.
The Guardian has an interactive map tracking Tomlinson’s movements by CCTV in the minutes before he was clubbed twice from behind by police. He died a few minutes later.
Officers are alleged to have attacked Tomlinson twice; both times from behind and as he was walking away. Eight witnesses produced photographic evidence, time- and date-stamped, that corroborates their version of events. Three said they saw Tomlinson being assaulted by riot police.
