Organized crime active in film piracy

The Rand Corp. details three cases where film piracy profits went to terror groups. They are quick to note that they don’t mean people making copies for friends but large scale international piracy.

    There are supposedly entire battalions of Chinese Army stationed in the northern part of the country who produce the vast majority of counterfeit goods in China. It’s thought that this is one of the ways the military is able to support itself financially while keeping the official budget in Beijing relatively low.
