Solar energy in remote Pakistan villages

solar power in Sindh

Homes in remote areas of Pakistan without electricity are using small solar panels to generate power for two lights and a fan at night. Imagine the difference that would make to a small village.

The author of the article says perhaps Pakistan could build its own solar energy industry to power villages, irrigate crops, and more.

We should opt for the manufacture of solar panels including solar cells in-country. For this purpose, we should establish not one but several factories for the manufacture of solar panels and cells in Pakistan. We have unimaginable quantities of raw material at our disposal and our manpower is second to none.

In the middle of what to us looks like chaos, he’s trying to build something that will benefit millions.
