It’s not that the Democratic Party has no spine or can’t identify a snake when they see one. Something else is going on. Obama wants him to stay. Why?

The world’s first offshore wind farm, at the head of Copenhagen harbor.
Denmark plans to power 1 million homes and 100,000 electric vehicles with wind power by 2013. Imagine if the US had projects like this happening nationwide. Perhaps we will soon. Obama has said that renewable energy will be a major priority.

AmericaBlog on Bill Marriot’s blog post about the hotel chain being LGBT friendly.
It doesn’t matter if Bill Marriott didn’t give to Prop 8. He is a major donor to the Mormon Church. And they use that money to impose their religious views on others, whether you like it or not.
Second, Bill Marriott may not have given to Prop 8, but people on his staff, who run some of his hotels, did. And we pay their salaries. We pay for those donations every time we stay at a Marriott.
A national boycott of a major Mormon-controlled business could be quite effective. In the words of legendary organizer Saul Alinsky; pick a target and freeze it, the rats will crawl out to defend it, and then you’ll know who the real enemy is.
The other players in Yes on 8 are quite happy to let the Mormon Church take all the heat. We need to force them into the open too.

Best Buy just announced sales have dropped sharply. This is an obvious bad sign and portends a slow holiday season. Consumer are the driving wheel of the economy.
“Since mid-September, rapid, seismic changes in consumer behavior have created the most difficult climate we’ve ever seen. Best Buy simply can’t adjust fast enough to maintain our earnings momentum for this year.”
This after the poster child for stupidity, Circuit City, filed for bankruptcy. (Yes, I’d call firing all the top salespeople in a lunatic effort to save money a monumental act of stupidity.) Everyone knew the Circuit City bk was coming, yet buyers haven’t flocked to Best Buy, rather, they’ve just stayed home. Even with all the discounting.

The Mine Water Project is Holland just opened the first minewater power station. It uses warm water from flooded mines to heat homes. They plan to show it is “economically viable and environmentally sound to extract geothermal energy from the water in former and closed mines on a large scale.”
