Poison allowed to be turned into fertilizer

It’s happening now, in the US, with sometimes horrific results. Apparently it is quite legal to make fertilizer from toxic waste and, not surprisingly, toxins are still present in the “fertiizer.”
Certified, independent testing showed that, in one fertilizer brand alone, all samples exceeded the criteria for listing the contents as a hazardous waste substance.
How did this country get so off-course that such appalling threats to health are routinely allowed? By putting profits before everything, that’s how.
