Let your Congressmembers know how you feel. The avalanche of email, faxes, and letters to Congress saying no bailout is having an effect.
Do we need to do something? Probably But it needs to be carefully thought-out, explained to the American public with clear details of how we get paid back (with interest), with caps on CEO pay, with full oversight and no dictatorial powers.
This is precisely what Bush did leading up to the Iraq War. A shock and awe campaign trying to force action now. It was all lies, wasn’t it? You think they’ve changed? They are exploiting a crisis for their own political and financial ends.
