A levee built recently in Missouri by the Army Corps of Engineers to protect against a 100 year flood did just that, and a whole lot of small towns are real relieved.

He took major hits these past several days and rebounded quickly. This guy is scary good. And Clinton is apparently in the red financially too.
That Politco bombshell yesterday citing Clinton aides who said they realize she has no chance of winning has gone viral and been quoted everywhere, including mainstream media.
My guess: She’ll drop out sometime in the next several weeks, will do so graciously, and support Obama.
An Obama - Richardson ticket could be a winner, with Richardson helping big time in the West and among Hispanics too.

Juice from sugar beets is key in a new formula tested here to prevent ice buildup on the roads. Chicago mixes a cocktail of 15 percent beet juice, a gelatinous liquid that resists freezing even in subzero weather, with 80 percent briny water, and sodium chloride.
Salt will also work, but it erodes bridges and roads, gets into the food chain and kills vegetation and weakens bird egg shells, etc. So, alternatives are always needed.
