Orecon has $24 million in vc funding for their new design, which puts most of the moving parts above water level, thus preventing corrosion by salt.

‘Round here the notion is you just can’t wait for The Corporation to take the necessary steps to mitigate the challenges of an overpopulation demanding ever more of a warming, resource finite planet. We want our grandchildren to survive, regardless the rest of the ‘country’ is dead set on apocalypse.
If we don’t soon abandon these irrational dependencies upon adolescent fairy tales to explain away the dark… we may not have the opportunity.
