    about forty years ago I used to take my kids to Loch Lomond, about 20 miles from Glasgow. Before leaving I would wrap up a piece of steak and some sliced potatoes in double tinfoil, tie it to the exhaust manifold of my car with metal wire and proceed to drive to the village of Luss on the lochside. Arriving their we would set up the picnic and I would retreive my tinfoil parcel from the manifold and on opening it the smell of fresh cooked steak and potatoes had heads turning to see where it was coming from. It was hot, delicious and well cooked. This was before the days of beach barbecues.
