Insurance company AIG has sent their private fire fighters to protect the homes of the wealthy in the San Diego fires, just like Blackwater did with their heavily armed guards in the aftermath of Katrina.

And what’s wrong with that? It is cheaper then having to pay to rebuild a new house. Sounds like a sound business decision to me.

I agree. Just more of the inevitable trend of private corporations doing for the well-off what the government increasingly is unable to do.
