Ahmadinejad at WTC

A request by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran’s president, to lay a wreath at the World Trade Centre site in New York City next week has been turned down by police and lambasted by American diplomats as an attempt to turn Ground Zero into a “photo opportunity”.

Golly, no other politician or diplomat has ever used the site for a photo op, have they? The hypocrisy is overwhelming here.

He should be allowed to lay the wreath.
