Smartcar road show

The SmartCar is coming to the US. There are already 750,000 of them on the road in 36 countries. Check to see if their traveling road show will be in your area.
The Smartcar weighs 1600 pounds, has a 1.0 liter engine putting out 75 hp, with a top speed of 90 mpg, and gets 45-50 mpg. I test drove one at their Road Show in West Hartford CT yesterday, it drives like any other car. The base price is $12,000.
A tiny car is certainly more vulnerable in an accident, however they also, by dint of their tiny size, are harder to hit and way more maneuverable. I’m guessing a thriving aftermarket for the Smartcar will appear, tricking them out and pumping up the horsepower.
