Tens of thousands of troops and U.S. aircraft are involved. Yup, the Kurds are being backstabbed and betrayed yet one more time. They probably though the US was telling the truth about being allies.
Oh, Winston Churchill wrote in 1919 it would be a jolly good idea to use poison gas against Kurdish “uncivilised tribes” in order to spread a “lively terror.” The more things changes, the more they stay the same.
