It does bring up an interesting point: because we rely so heavily on fossil fuels and plastics, it’s tough to do ANYTHING without having a carbon impact. As individuals, we can reduce the impact somewhat, but it’s tough to eliminate. Clearly we need some visionary help here. (And I wouldn’t look to the Democratic-Republicans for vision, they’re a bit light in that department.)

Cutting consumption through cleaner, smarter technologies seems to be the best approach.
