  1. I don’t know what spam filters you’re using, but some of the WordPress spam filters have a higher false positive rate than others. I’ve had to change my ‘net handle on some WordPress blogs because my usual one — a non-english phrase — apprently causes any comment I make to register as spam.

  2. rslux: I use Askismet and recently installed Comment Timeout. Jamie at Intoxination who is a WordPress guru says Comment Timeout might have been written assuming the blog is on a dedicated server, and thus could might have problems sometimes on shared hosting. So, I turned off some of its more advanced features, and will see how it goes.
