Note the sign at the bottom “Development means cornbelt prosperity.” Still does! Except, if huge amounts of corn get used for ethanol, then less is available for livestock and people. Hmmm.

Cool pic. Ethanol demand is driving up corn (and therefore meat) prices. Did you know that other sources of ethanol include wood? But it hasn’t yet been developed because corn, though not the most efficient source, is the best known and most politically attractive.
