Arrested for videoing police, and acquitted

Francisco Avecedo Jr. led an immigration rights march at his high school last May in West Hartford CT. In June, during the school’s annual pranks day, police were called, and he got arrested videoing the police arresting another student. Like it’s against the law to video something… The useless school officials join in the fun of shredding the Constitution too.

On Thursday, the judge acquitted Avecedo on all charges.

He has has a federal lawsuit pending from immigrants right march. Plus, his lawyer said “The town is going to end up paying a lot of money to Mr. Acevedo.” As well they should.

The Cool Justice Report has full details, as does the local paper of record, The Hartford Courant.
