Social unrest in China

Unrest and riots in China have gotten serious enough that party newspapers are acknowledging they are happening and that reforms are needed to end the increasing disparity between rich and poor.
American Leftist has more.
Alvin Toffler once said he thought China would eventually split into separate countries, which seemed a crazy idea at the time, but maybe not…
Western China is semi-arid desert and has little in common with Beijing ethnically, culturally, or anything else. And that’s where much of the unrest is.
