Amendment IV The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Much of the TSA policy is in direct conflict with the 4th Admendment.
a) what is the ‘probable cause’ for requiring a citizen to remove their shoes
b) what is ‘reasonable’ for global rules like zip lock only, 3oz per lable, etc.
i also went through las vegas security. i had a small can of shaving cream that my friend left in our room, which i took before leaving, then forgot to give to him. i asked the guy whose job it was to stand in an empty terminal (i was on the last flight out) with a correctly loaded baggie and he said it had to be in a plastic bag. why? because it has to be in a plastic bag. there’s only one item. it still has to be in a plastic bag. so i threw it away. i’m sure he reached in and grabbed it later.
forget shoe bombers. nothing has done more to show how unsafe america is than the security theater at our airports.
You are fuggin’ kidding me. Hour after hour of people tell the country about the 3-1-1 rule, NOT ONE has mentioned is has to be a Ziplock(tm) baggie.

Humor has become reality, the morons are breeding faster than the rest of us.
The point is TSA violate Constitutional rights guaranteed by 4th Admendment.
It is patently UNREASONABLE to seize citizen property based on arbitrary
criteria like 3oz, zip lock bag, “3-1-1 rule”, etc.
It is patently UNREASONABLE to require 5 year children and 80 year pensioners
to remove their shoes.
It is UNREASONABLE to have blanket “rules” that are applied without reason to
EVERY passenger, regardless of any PROBABLE CAUSE.
AND there is little/no evidence that the TSA screening is materially improving
air plane security.
Has anyone ever questioned why the TSA agents at check points aren’t dressed in HAZMAT gear? If they are screening for EXPLOSIVE LIQUIDS and collecting containers over the size of 3 oz. where it has been determined is the explosive minimum, why aren’t these people fully equipped to handle such a situation? Are they fully trained to handle explosive liquid materials? Or are they only trained to collect potential explosives and if upon finding such material, well lets just say the BOOM will be their cry for assistance. And who’s to say that terrorists need to get to a check point with their formidable liquids?
