Zamzar has free online file conversion, including doc, image, audio, and video formats. It currently has a 100 mb max. file size but this may be increased.
It’s browser-based, so it works with any OS, and is ad-supported with ads only appearing online.
It converted an mp3 to an mp4 easily. The video conversions could also prove real useful. MOV to Flash, anyone?
