We saw Hapa last night in Santa Barbara. A quite amazing show; Hawaiian and Polynesian music, some quite political in an understated way. Hula too, as hula is a bedrock of Hawaiian culture. Plus chants by Charles Ka’upu. Don’t miss them if they come to your town.
“Maui” is their latest CD, they call it Polynesian music for the 21st century, and it is.
