Those darned tricksters

The FBI has reopened an inquiry into one of the most intriguing aspects of the pre-Iraq war intelligence fiasco: how the Bush administration came to rely on forged documents linking Iraq to nuclear weapons materials as part of its justification for the invasion.

‘Intriguing?’ The US went to war based on lies, thousands are dead and a country is in ruins. ‘Intriguing’ is not the word I would use to describe how this happened.

The FBI’s decision to reopen the investigation reverses the agency’s announcement last month that it had finished a two-year inquiry and concluded that the forgeries were part of a moneymaking scheme — and not an effort to manipulate U.S. foreign policy.

Oh please, this is just more attempted spin from the neocons, aided and abetted by the FBI. The poor little US was tricked, bamboozled it appears, by a sole confidence man looking for money, and that’s why the invasion happened. Uh, huh. I sure believe that, don’t you?

  1. Was the document forged? I don’t know. If the document was in fact a forgery, then who forged it? I don’t know. I don’t know anything, do I. You can stop looking at me like that, buddy, cause you don’t know either! The reason you and I don’t know anything is that nobody is going to tell us…and that’s for damn sure! No wonder there are conspiracy theories about everything under the sun! We have to make shit up for our own sanity. Those who know the truth are not willing to tell us. They would much rather lie to us. Their only problem is that they make up lies which are totally ungodamn believable! So, there ya go…I’m on my own. This is what I think about George Dubya’s wars:

In my opinion, going to war in Afghanistan was the right thing to do for two reasons:

    1)They pissed me off.
    2)They deserved it.

In my opinion, going to war in Iraq was the wrong thing to do for one reason:

1)George Dubya Bush is a lyin’ sonofabitch.

  2. Going to war is not a solution to the problems of any working class, we are the group that is lead in to shed our blood but the rewards never come our way. Going to war is a capitalist/imerialist answer to their problems not ours.At the end of the day we are killing lorry drivers, bakers, farmers and shop keepers and being killed for our efforts.
