Socialism Conference reportback

PSLblog has an extensive report on the Socialism Conference, hosted by The Party for Socialism and Liberation, in L.A. last Saturday.
Jim Lafferty of the National Lawyers Guild made an instructive point. He’s been organizing for decades and said, liberals and progressives sometimes ask me, Jim, aren’t there communists and socialists in the antiwar movement? I tell them, absolutely, and that’s a good thing. Because they will keep organizing and getting results when no one else can or will. And they have 150 years of experience to draw on. You should be happy they’re there.
