Rush Limbaugh is a big…

Rush Limbaugh is a big fat drug addict

Radio talk show host and political commentator Rush Limbaugh stunned listeners Friday when he admitted that he is addicted to painkillers.

He admitted this no doubt to get ahead of the story, as he may get indicted for buying downers on the street, just like those horrid addicts he foams at the mouth against. Our favorite big fat right wing idiot has delivered many hate-filled blowhard tirades against drug users, and hey, it now appears he was probably high when he made them. What a monumental hypocrite.

You suppose Rush will do time if he’s convicted for buying drugs illegally? Or will he start whining like some pansy liberal that addicts need treatment not prison?

Interestingly, the investigation is in Florida, a state with no mercy for drug users. Hoist by your own petard, eh Rush?

From TheGoFish

Ahem.

Oh Rush, didn’t you once say that drug addicts ought to be deported from this country and left to battle it out, Lord of the Flies style, on their own private island?

When does your plane leave?

Meanwhile Tommy Chong just started a nine month sentence for selling bongs.

Pat Robertson calls for the death of thousands of Americans

Television evangelist and Christian Coalition founder Pat Robertson’s suggestion that a nuclear device should be used to wipe out the State Department was “despicable,” department spokesman Richard Boucher said Thursday.

How deeply Christian of him. If a Muslim said the State Dept. should be blown up, the Bushies would immediately have him arrested. Yet they are completely silent when a demented, extremist “Christian” says the same thing.

Schwarzenegger May Return To Energy-Deregulation Model —

California, the first state to pull the plug on electricity deregulation, may now be the first to hop back on the deregulation bandwagon under new Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Aides to Mr. Schwarzenegger and the governor-elect’s own position papers say the new Republican administration will take California back in the direction of open electricity markets, most notably by giving big energy consumers the right to choose among suppliers.

Big users were stripped of that right after Gov. Gray Davis signed $43 billion of long-term energy supply contracts in 2001.

Note that Arnold wants deals for big energy users, not the general public. Why am I not surprised?

Australians censure PM over war lies

The <Australian> Senate today censured Prime Minister John Howard for misleading the people of Australia over the reasons for going to war with Iraq.

Senator Brown said Mr Howard was involved in an unprecedented deceit of the nation and deserved censure.

“It has become abundantly clear that the prime minister was not just a bit wrong. He was totally wrong.”

When will our Congress have the moral courage to censure Bush?

10,000 protest in Baghdad

10,000 protest in Baghdad

Shiite Muslim anger against Americans spilled into Friday Prayers in Sadr City, the poor Baghdad district where two Iraqis and two American soldiers were killed Thursday night.

The violence and subsequent public outrage raised fears of new dangers to United States troops from the followers of Moktada al-Sadr, a young anti-American Shiite cleric.
