Talk about a coverup…

Talk about a coverup…

A friend emails;

“I waited to send this until I saw a second reference; it is just too surreal.

Someone at the UN authorized the “Guernica” tapestry (the original painting is now back in non-fascist Spain) covered by a blue banner and a row of flags.

So, when Herr Powell comes to the UN to justify the US bombing of innocents, children, and animals, there won’t be a painting of the bombing of innocents, children, and animals behind him.

A spokesperson for the UN said it was simply an artistic choice; individuals look better photographed against a blue curtain and a row of flags than in front of “…the backside of a rearing horse.”

Or, a horse’s ass in front of a painting of a horse’s ass.”

Phil Spector arrested for first…

Phil Spector arrested for first degree murder

Legendary record producer Phil Spector (Ronettes, Righteous Brothers, Beatles, Ramones) has been arrested for first degree murder after police answered a 911 call at his mansion and found a dead woman.

His attorney is Robert Shapiro, who also defended O.J. Simpson.

Golly, we here in L.A. may have two celebrity murder trials soon - Robert Blake and Phil Spector. The Los Angeles D.A. has a reputation for blowing the big cases, so grab some popcorn.

Joey Ramone once said something to the effect that Phil Spector was “one weird dude”.

The best allies money can…

The best allies money can buy

From the Chicago Tribune

U.S. woos war allies with cash, weapons

Iraq’s neighbors swap staging sites for billions in aid

The coalition of the willing, said security analyst Loren Thompson, “is really a coalition of the bought off.”

They also say the U.S. policy of trading arms for support may serve to fuel regional conflicts with a wave of modern and highly effective weaponry.

“Who your friends are today may not be your friends tomorrow,” said Rachel Stohl, a senior analyst with the Center for Defense Information in Washington.”

Like, oh, Saddam and bin Laden, to name a few former allies we gave much weaponry to.
