U.S. Forces Launch Airstrikes in Fallujah (AP).
AP – U.S. forces launched airstrikes against suspected militant bases in Fallujah and carried out probing attacks on the city’s outskirts, as they prepared for a major operation in the insurgent bastion that has become the symbol of Iraqi resistance.
The Bushies are waiting until after the elections to begin these major escalations because the US casualities that will result would be unacceptable during the campaign season.
