Huge numbers march against Bush in London

When they reached Trafalgar Square, protesters felled a six-meter (20-foot) papier mache statue of Bush in a parody of the toppling of a statue of Saddam Hussein when U.S. and British troops swept into Baghdad. In its top pocket was a puppet with a grinning Blair face.

Protesters, Miami cops clash during FTAA demonstrations

Police officers in riot gear used long batons, plastic shields, concussion grenades and stun guns in clashes Thursday with hundreds of demonstrators opposed to ongoing talks aimed at creating a hemisphere-wide free trade zone.
