Stop the War stops Colin Powell
The Stop the War – Stop Bush – Coalition has won an early victory in their campaign to hound President Bush and his entourage.
The President’s leading lieutenant Colin Powell was due today to give a speech at 4.00pm at Senate House at the University of London. However after the Coalition organised a welcoming committee to greet the Secretary of State, the Police cancelled the meeting.
Describing the victory as a stunning success, Lindsey German, spokesperson for the Coalition said, “this shows the huge strength of opposition to the Presidents visit, and shows there will be no place where either the President or his party will not go unopposed on the streets of Britain.”
