The internal battle has broken out into the open in Russia. What has surprised a lot of people, and which really shouldn’t, is that Putin, who came to power during Communism, appears to still be a Socialist at heart, believing the state should control the resources of a country, not private enterprise, and most especially not criminal private enterprise.
And apparently most of the country, sickened by the looting done by the oligarchs, agrees with him.
