Oscar Pistorius defense borders on absurd

“I fail to understand how I could be charged with murder, let alone premeditated. I had no intention to kill my girlfriend,” said Oscar Pistorius, who strapped on prosthetic legs, walked to the bathroom, and fired through the door at Steenkamp, a tragic mistake that anyone could make, don’t you think?

If he wasn’t famous, would anyone actually believe or care about such a feeble defense? Dunno about you, but I’m tired of athletes presented as role models for us to idolize who turn out to be protected, pampered sociopaths.
