iPhone 4S. Sometimes no outgoing audio?

It looks like the ‘no outgoing audio on outgoing calls’ on the iPhone 4S is a glitch that will be fixed in the the 5.1 release.

Apparently it sometimes gets confused as to which audio output to use. Tapping ‘Speaker’ a couple of times when making a call has solved the problem on my iPhone [...]

Swapping out iPhones. What to watch for

Sue had an ancient iPhone 3G and I had a 4. We upgraded her account. I got the 4S and she got the 4. This involved moving data around and got a bit involved. Here’s what to watch for.

The AT&T store copied my contacts from the 4 to the 4S. I synced and everything [...]

Google Goggles is now available as an iPhone app (for 3GS running iOS and 4) as part of the Google Mobile App. Just tap the camera button and it will analyze the image and return search results. Right now it works mostly for landmarks, logos, and books, but in a couple of years, it will [...]

Our Internet access is back!

Our DSL was down for 28 hours. Turns out it was a loose wire and all is well now. But it made me realize two things.

1) Sue and I are really dependent on the net.

For most of us now, the net is as indispensable as having a car or phone. Until [...]

iPhone addiction is a terrible thing

I’m posting this from my iPhone, even though I’m sitting next to my laptop. Why? Because I can, I guess.
