It’s not left wing or right wing, but rather a chicken wing conspiracy. That’s what the biofuel industry thinks.

There’s a vast “conspiracy” to subsidize the inefficent U.S. processing of corn into ethanol, and to ban cheaper and more efficient ethanol imports. So it should be no surprise that there’s another vast “conspiracy” opposing it– nor that some of its proponents might have differing reasons for soing so.
Wheels within wheels. Just because the grocers oppose turning corn into ethanol doesn’t mean we must knee-jerk and say we should. And on the other hand, just because corn ethanol is not the best idea, that doesn’t mean biofuel is a bad idea… nor does corn ethanol being better than oil mean we should stop (or even pause for any length of time) there.
