I feel so secure knowing the Fed is in charge

Fed to clamp down on exotic and subprime mortgages

Australian minister: Climate change report like “disaster novel”

A new report by Australia’s top scientists predicts that the country will be hit by a 10-fold increase in heatwaves and that droughts will almost double in frequency and become more widespread because of climate change.

Iran says it will hit U.S. Ships, Israel, if attacked

Are the Bushies insane enough to attack Iran? (While the actual attack could come from Israel, they won’t do it without an explicit ok from the US.)

Why is no one in Congress opposing this? The antiwar movement seems asleep. The time for people in the streets is before a possible attack, not after it happens.

Thoughts on Obama

One of the final reasons that apartheid fell in South Africa was because their ruling class came to the conclusion that it was no longer tenable or defensible. It was no longer working and was doing nothing but lose them friends and allies worldwide. Sound familiar? Maybe like the US now after eight years of Bush?

So, Obama is their choice for change. No, not revolutionary change. But a serious step back from the precipice and time to get rational adults in the White House again. The neocons have been a disaster for the economy, business, and the influence and power of the US. Thus large parts of the ruling class know change is needed now, and Obama is their choice to do it.
