The bumbling US intelligence community

The Hollywood perception of the CIA is one of vicious, unprincipled, highly effective thugs. Yet the truth appears to be more that they are ineffective and snoozing. I’m not sure which is more unsettling.

Nadia Nadim Prouty just pled guilty to federal charges of illegally using government computers to access information about her brother-in-law, a Hizbollah-linked fugitive and others. Counterterrorism blog wonders how she managed to fraudulently become a citizen, get jobs with the FBI and CIA, and remain undetected.  They also say US agencies have been penetrated by any number of foreign agents; Russian and Chinese as well as Islamist. (Rumors that Spongebob and Patrick are manipulating FBI data to prevent Mr. Krabs from being indicted for embezzlement are probably untrue.)

What is striking in the Prouty case is that she was conducting unauthorized classified searches in 2003, and yet was not shut down until 2007. It seems that it took a long time for the dime to drop on that one.

The Predatory Lending Association

The Predatory Lending Association

With helpful guides like the Working Poor Finder and Racial Profiling Tools as well as lists of payday loan lenders near military bases, the Predatory Lending Association will help you fully exploit and gouge the unwary and desperate.

Unfortunately, we do not have payday loan opportunities at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base due to the Cuban Government restricting our free market activities.

Tragically, those commies in Congress have capped interest rates for loans to military to a mere 36% a year. Quick action is needed before such onerous laws apply to civilians too.

Iranian minister: gays should be hanged

Homosexuals deserve to be executed or tortured and possibly both, an Iranian leader told British MPs during a private meeting at a peace conference, The Times [of London] has learnt.

For those who say Iran must be supported without criticism because it opposes George Bush, this barbaric Iranian policy towards gays presents an impossible moral quandary, as many of those same people also support gay rights. This is not theoretical, two teenage males were recently hung in Iran because they were gay.

Saying “No war on Iran” can not and should not mean human rights violations in Iran should be ignored.
