New Zealand to ban fossil electric production

New Zealand already gets 70% of their power from hydro, wind, and geothermal, and wants to make that 90% by 2025. Thus, they are banning construction of new power plants that use fossil fuels.

I was just contemplating last night IPCC’s pre-announcement last week that their report ealier this year that their numbers had been based on old data, and new data suggested WE ARE OUT OF TIME– and that in the wake of that announcment, total silence had erupted. Nobody said nothin’. Are we really that asleep at the wheel?

Apparently NZ isn’t. Bravo for them.
