Move to Wordpress started!

This happened faster than I thought.

I’m moving this blog to a new ISP and the Wordpress platform. Due to the vagaries of the Internet, it may take a few days for you to get to the new site.

And away we go!

Too little too late

The NY Times is now running and leaking all sorts of stuff bashing
Judith Miller. Like they didn’t know she was fronting for BushCo all
along. Like they didn’t support her completely when she was one of the
earliest and most noxious cheerleaders for the Iraq invasion, speading
lies and slime all the way, paving the way for the war to happen.

The antiwar movement knew what she was saying about WMD’s, etc. were
lies. But the NY Times didn’t? Gimme a break. How could they not have
known?

UK not a good place to vacation this winter

Britain could be left paralysed by energy shortages, a health crisis and gridlock on the roads if the predicted Arctic winter strikes with severity.

Concern has been mounting since the
Meteorological Office took the unprecedented step of issuing a
long-range forecast predicting the likelihood of a much
harsher-than-average winter.

Moving to Wordpress

As mentioned, this blog will be migrating to the Wordpress platform
sometime in the next several days. There’s a zillion little details to
handle; creating the new look and feel of the site, notifying
blogsearch engines of the new rss feed, learning the control panel
software at the new ISP, etc.

When the switch comes, I want it to be seamless, with everything up and
running from Day One, so I’m deliberately spending extra time
configuring and tweaking as much as possible first.

What you are reading now, the current blog, which uses the Radio
Userland platform,  will be published in its entirety to a folder
on the new blog where it will exist as an archive. It will look exactly
as it does now.

This is wrong

Officials remove newborn over father’s abuse case.

The newborn’s father served a decade
in prison as a sex offender in New York 22 years ago, convicted in the
rape and sodomy of two teenage girls.

His wife just had a baby. The baby was taken away from them because of
what he did twenty two years, something he served his time for, with no
indication or evidence the baby is at risk now. This is a grotesque
abuse of power.
