NYMEX declares force majeure

The New York Mercantile Exchange said Friday it declared force majeure on remaining September natural gas deliveries due to the closure of the Sabine Pipeline which operates the key Henry Hub delivery point in Erath, Louisiana.
This means those under contract to deliver are released from their contracts due to an “act of God.”
