The 2004 Toyota Prius can be tweaked to a) run completely on electric and b) to be plugged in and recharged.
“One guy I know plugs his Honda hybrid into a windmill for power,” Kroushl says. “It costs him practically nothing to drive.”
I have a 2001 Prius, and unfortunately, it can’t be tweaked. Dang.
