A LARGE pumpkin. That’s a blue foot long ruler lying on top of it.


Miss Monica, whose blog will be reviving itself soon, is the proud grower. As giant pumpkins go, this is still just a wee little tyke, however the growing season still has many weeks to go.

The US president, George Bush, was transferred to the Alabama National Guard during the Vietnam war because his drunken behaviour was a political liability to his father in Texas, the wife of one of his father’s former confidants revealed yesterday.

The A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition has obtained permits for the Counter-Inaugural demonstration!



On the first day that the next president takes the oath of office - January 20, 2005 - there will be thousands of people all along the inaugural route in Washington DC demanding “End the occupation of Iraq - Bring the troops home now.” Whether it is Bush or Kerry riding in the limousine, they and the world will hear this message loud and clear from the people of the U.S.

Rap returns home to Africa



Daara J are one of the success stories - the Senegalese rap group have just played the UK’s Glastonbury and Womad festivals and won a BBC World Music award.


The title track of their album Boomerang claims that rap was born not in New York, but in Senegal - it is returning to its roots, like a boomerang.
