Bush sealed Hamas leader’s fate – Palestinians



“It was Bush.”


The verdict was near unanimous amid the tears and rage on Palestinian streets after Israel killed Hamas leader Abdel-Aziz al-Rantissi in an air strike Saturday that many Arabs felt President Bush must have approved.


This also sealed the fate for hopes of peace in the Middle East for the forseeable future.

Bush’s blatant support of Sharon’s initiative is placing the American president’s political aspirations of instilling democracy in the area in great jeopardy, warned a number of Middle East observers. And that was before Rantisi’s killing. Now the only place the president’s Middle East Road Map is likely to lead to, is just greater chaos.
