Howard Dean will not use public financing
Former Vermont governor Howard Dean rejected public financing of his presidential campaign Saturday, laying claim to be the only candidate financially able to challenge President Bush.
This is not unrelated to the above story. If the Dems know 200 million may be spent independently in attack ads on Bush, they suddenly have huge breathing room.
