Bolivian leader resigns - senior government source

Bolivia’s president resigned on Friday, offering to step down in a letter he sent to Congress after a nationwide deadly revolt to oust him, a senior government source said.

This government collapsed under its own corrupt weight, plus the pressure of hundreds of thousands of protestors who shut down the capitol city. This is a major blow to Bush, as this right wing Bolivia government was one of the few governments left in South America that supported the “free trade” policies so beloved by the Bushies.

L.A Greens to give massages…

L.A Greens to give massages to striking grocery workers!

This is a creative, inspired idea. Very Green and supporting the strikers at the same time.

Massage therapists from the L.A. Greens, will be “on hand” to offer free massages to on-strike United Food and Commercial Workers Union members on Saturday, October 18 from 10-11 a.m. at Ralphs on 3rd and La Brea in Los Angeles and on Sunday, October 19 from 10-11 a.m. at the “Rock ‘n Roll” Ralphs at Sunset and Fuller in Hollywood.

<Note: Rock and Roll Ralph’s is so named because, as it is in the heart of Hollywood and always open, it gets all manner of strange, wondrous, and bizarrely garbed people shopping there>

Join in solidarity with UFCW workers and spread the Green Party message of Universal Single Payer Health Care.

Walk the picket line holding their signs while the workers get a massage, wear your Green Party tshirt, and bring along a friend or two to this fun action!

Reason #19087 why Bush must…

Reason #19087 why Bush must not be re-elected

Hold a bake sale, go to jail

Watch out environmentalists, under what passes for logic nowadays, you may be deemed an “ecoterrorist” simply for holding a harmless fundraiser.

Holding a bake sale to support tree-sitters could be a terrorist offense.

Bush order to stop leaks…

Bush order to stop leaks is leaked

Concerned about the appearance of disarray and feuding within his administration as well as growing resistance to his policies in Iraq, President Bush - living up to his recent declaration that he is in charge - told his top officials to ’stop the leaks’ to the media, or else, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

News of Bush’s order leaked almost immediately.

Is anyone paying attention to Dubya? Ranking Republicans a few days back worried he wasn’t in control of his staff or the war. Now his staff demonstrates this to be true.
