House GOP leaders’ action marks new low
Howard Dean today condemned House Republican leaders for scheduling a crucial vote on, and then approving, the first federally-imposed school voucher program for the District of Columbia last night:
“Scheduling a vote on school vouchers to take place at the exact hour of the Democratic Presidential debate sponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus marks a new low for the Republican Party.”
In other news: Dean says US should not take sides in Middle East. This is especially interesting, as Dean has been assumed to be a hardline Israel supporter.
Criticism of Howard Dean for his assertion that the United States should not take sides in the Middle East conflict moved beyond presidential debating today when a group of Democratic House members rebuked him in a letter.
