“Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler, Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz, stormed out of the Arab summit Saturday after a heated public row with Libyan leader Moamer al-Kadhafi over the kingdom’s ties with the United States.
Egyptian state television cut its feed of the summit’s proceedings before the walkout, but part of the exchange between the two Arab leaders was carried live, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported.
Kadhafi charged that Saudi Arabia’s King Fahd had been ready to “strike an alliance with the devil” to defend the kingdom after Iraq’s 1990 invasion of neighboring Kuwait. “
