Samsung is building the “the world’s largest and most advanced”offshore wind farm installer for use off Scotland and other northern European countries. It will be self-propelled, with 100 m long legs and can install in water up to 65 m deep.
Meanwhile in the US, our very first wind turbine will soon be offshore Maine, a wee little 1/8 scale test turbine.
