A potential client wants a bid on migrating a dinosaur DOS-based Clipper application with 55,000 lines of code to VB.Net / C#.Net with MS-SQL backend.
I specialize in these types of projects and will document business rules in the existing app and explain what the code is doing. This will make the coding the new app much easier since they want a direct port of the existing app, with nothing new added.
