Someone, it appears, has declared war on prosecutors in Kaufman County in Texas. District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife “assassinated” in their home on Saturday. Assistant District Attorney was shot dead two months ago.
Police have no leads in either case but many believe the cases are linked.
Schulte said he is convinced that the deaths of McLelland and Hasse are linked. “I think it’s pretty obvious,” he said. “Why would you go after the assistant district attorney in Kaufman County and then — less than two months later — you go after the elected? I think they have to be related.
