Pentagon 3-D printing for limbs, bomb sniffers, micro-robots

The Pentagon plans multiple uses for 3-D printers.

In July, the Army deployed its first mobile 3-D printing laboratory to Afghanistan inside a shipping container capable of being carried by helicopter.

Not only does the military plan to scan soldiers so prosthetics can be made, if needed, they are also researching printing weapons entirely from a 3-D printer.

The 3-D printing revolution is just starting. It is disruptive technology that will change everything, and will at least be on the scale of the internet and maybe even the automobile. Seriously.
